DURHAM 3, GEORGIAN 0
The Georgian Grizzlies men's volleyball team headed into their match against the Durham Lords looking to win their second straight game for the first time since November.
The Lords had other plans for the Grizzlies making quick work of Georgian dropping them 3-0 Saturday afternoon.
Durham had their way with the Grizzlies for much of the day winning straight sets of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-22.
Georgian's offence could not find a way to beat Durham middle Kyle Kerstens (Oshawa, Ont.) who had a season high six blocks in the win.
Brad VanHartingsveldt (Newcastle, Ont.) of the Lords led all scorers with 12 points (nine kills and three aces) while Craig Lush (Port Perry, Ont.) and Steve Clarey (Baltimore, Ont.) had 11 and 10 points respectively.
Lyndon Sonego continued his great play for Georgian registering 14 kills to lead the team.
The loss drops Georgian's record to 8-7 on the OCAA season.
The Grizzlies won't have much time to worry about today's loss as they will host the Cambrian Golden Shield tomorrow afternoon at the Georgian Athletic Centre at 2 p.m.
