The Fanshawe Falcons men's volleyball team defeated the Conestoga Condors in straight sets on Saturday night (25-13, 25-14, 25-15). The Falcons improved to 7-8 on the season, and are currently one game behind Mohawk for the final playoff spot.

Twelve players got on the score sheet for the Falcons, with Aaron L'ecuyer leading the way with 10 points (seven kills, three blocks).

Josh Westgate commented on the tight playoff race. "Obviously we would like to be ahead of the teams we still have to play, but the reality is we had a tough first semester and now we have put ourselves in a position where we have to win. We're going to go in to practice next week, work hard and prepare for what will no doubt be a tough final three games."

The Falcons have three games left, all against current playoff teams. The Falcons will host the Niagara Knights (12-3) and the Sheridan Bruins (10-5) on February 8 and 9. Those games will be followed by the season finale in Hamilton against the Mohawk Mountaineers (8-7).
