The St. Lawrence College Vikings women's basketball team had a tough weekend, but improved through the course of it.
The Vikings lost their Ontario Colleges Athletic Association regular-season opener 74-30 to George Brown College at home on Friday, Nov. 4. Despite the loss, players kept their morale up and had a better result on Saturday.
The team lost to Georgian College 61-33 on Saturday. In the George Brown game Corisa Cluett , of Kingston, led the Vikings in scoring with nine points. Keisha Conway, of Kingston, was the second highest scorer with six points. In the Georgian game Cluett had 10 points and Sarah Eades, of Braeside, Ont., had 10 points.
Like the men's team, the women's next games are in Ottawa this weekend, against Algonquin and La Cite.
