The Niagara College Knights women's basketball team split a pair of games in Southwestern Ontario this past weekend.
On Saturday, the Knights lost a disappointing 51-50 decision to the Lambton College Lions in Sarnia. For the third time this season, the Knights have not been able to hold a lead while heading into the fourth quarter.
Second-year forward Shelby Johnston (Welland, Ont.) had 16 points for Niagara, while second-year guard Anita Cloutier (St. Catharines, Ont.) chipped in with 13 points.
"We missed a lot of easy lay-ups in the first half, and late in the game there was a controversial call that favoured the Lambton Lions," said head coach Ron Lemon.
