The Loyalist Lancers trailed 29-21 at the half but had a excellent third quarter picking up things at the defensive end and finally hitting some perimeter shots and were able to outscore the Sting 20-10.
Neither team scored much in the fourth quarter but the home team was able to outscore Seneca 12-9 and hold on for the win with a final score of 55-48.
This was a huge win for the Lancers moving them into third place in the OCAA East with a 6-4 record. They will look to move to 7-4 tomorrow when they host the Grizzlies of Georgian College.
Jenni Thompson led all scorers with 17 points and Nikea Worrell and Martine Gauvin both had 11 points while Haley Sisler chipped in with nine. Samatha Goff, the third leading rebounder in the country, had 14 boards.
Sharika Smith was the top point producer for the Sting with 13 points.
