The regular season schedule will remain a two-division format. Teams will play a double round robin within their division totalling 18 for men, and 14 or 16 for women (based on division).
The schedule opens with a flurry on Oct. 20 with games totalling a baker's dozen. Notable match-ups include the reigning OCAA men's champion St. Clair Saints (Windsor) beginning their title defence at home against the Redeemer Royals (Ancaster) as well as an all-Toronto showdown between East Division foes the George Brown Huskies and Seneca Sting (North York).
The defending OCAA women's champion Humber Hawks (Etobicoke) are idle until Oct. 25 when they host the Niagara Knights (Welland) in a mid-week clash.
Most of the schedule will feature doubleheaders between schools alternating between men's and women's competition. A total of 180 men's and 128 women's games will be played between October and February, with a mid-season break in December for exams.
There will be a change in the OCAA playoff format for 2024. The top eight teams in each division now qualify for the post-season. The first round will consist of interdivisional play between teams from opposite divisions based according to seeding (1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, etc.). The winners will then advance to the quarter-finals, hosted by the higher seeds. The OCAA championships will consist of back-to-back days of semi-finals and medal matches at the home of the highest remaining seeds.
