HUMBER 115, MOHAWK 0
Humber College is defending OCAA champions in both men's and women's rugby. And Saturday (Sep. 22) at Mohawk Sports Park the Hawks topped the century mark in points in both games with the Mountaineers.
September 14, Humber blanked Sheridan 104-0. Saturday, they came to Hamilton and scored the same number of points in a 104-10 blowout of the Mountaineers. Thomas Piche and Eric Moyer scored the tries for Mohawk.
Mountaineers' head coach Bill Stuart said the Hawks are very good. "Humber was a nice strong team with lots of evasive ability that we could not stop," said Stuart. "They moved the ball very well and beat the heck out of us."
It was even more lopsided in the women's game as the Hawks rolled to a 115-0 verdict. The Humber women have outscored their opponents 182-0 so far.
Both Humber squads are now 2-0 while Mohawk's teams are both 0-2 in the West Region.
