PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - It was a night of firsts for the George Brown College women's soccer team.
The Huskies blanked the host Fleming Knights 2-0 in their Ontario Colleges Athletic Association game at the Fleming Sports Complex.
Kayla Crnic, a midfielder from Mississauga, Ont., and who was on two national championship teams while at Queen's University, scored both goals in the first half. Keeper Katie Turner, from London, Ont., recorded her first shutout.
The victory, improving George Brown's record to 2-1-0 boosted the Huskies in to third place in the nine-team East Division. Fleming dropped to 0-3.
