NORTH YORK, Ont. - George Brown's women's soccer team, barely hanging on to a playoff spot, didn't do much to secure it after a 8-0 thumping by Seneca College at Newnham Field.
In addition to a third consecutive loss, outscored by the opposing team 17-1 in those games, it was also a third time in seven games that the Huskies offensive unit failed to score a goal.
Seneca has a 6-1 record for second place in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association East Division while George Brown, ahead of Durham and Loyalist by one point, is in fifth place with a 2-4-1 record.
George Brown has one game left in the regular season hosting Algonquin College of Ottawa, the only team with an undefeated record in the division.
