OCAA WOMEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP COMES TO WINDSOR
St. Clair College plays host to the 2025 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Women's Soccer Championship beginning Saturday at Acumen Stadium in Windsor, Ont.
WINDSOR, Ont. - St. Clair College plays host to the 2025 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Women's Soccer Championship beginning Saturday at Acumen Stadium in Windsor, Ont.
The finalists at the last three championships have returned to the OCAA final four, including the two-time defending champion Seneca Sting and the 2022 champion and reigning silver medalist Humber Hawks. If both teams win their semifinal matches on Saturday, it would be an unprecedented fourth straight gold medal match featuring these two programs.
Standing in their way are this year’s championship host St. Clair Saints and the Centennial Colts. The competition will feature the first and third-place teams from each division during the regular season.
A pair of semifinals will take place on Saturday, with OCAA bronze and gold medal matches taking place on Sunday. The OCAA champion will advance to the 2025 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Soccer National Championship taking place in Red Deer, Alta.

Humber Hawks, Toronto (5-2-3, 3rd West) vs St. Clair Saints, Windsor (7-0-3, 1st West)
Saturday, Oct. 25 - 12 p.m.
The curtain raiser features a pair of West Division rivals.
The undefeated St. Clair Saints continued their winning ways winning two elimination matches 10-0 against the Loyalist Lancers and 2-0 against the Durham Lords. The Saints have a 5-0-2 record on home turf.
The Saints feature third-year forward Victoria Walsh (Georgetown) who was named the West Division Player of the Year and All-Canadian. Walsh led St. Clair in scoring with nine goals in 10 regular season matches.
The Hawks won a home playoff match 6-2 against the Cambrian Shield, then earned a 2-0 road victory over the Algonquin Wolves to earn their ticket to provincials.
West Division Second-Team All-Star Kaylese Callender (Vaughan) is Humber’s offensive leader with five goals in nine matches, including one in each post-season victory.
These teams met in the regular season opener, a 2-2 tie. Humber first-year midfielder Mikayla Orrico (Vaughan) scored the equalizer in the 90th minute.
The Hawks have reached the OCAA podium eight consecutive times, with a collection of one gold, five silver and two bronze medals. The Saints have not won an OCAA title since 1988. Their last OCAA medal was bronze in 2015.
Centennial Colts, Toronto (8-2-0, 3rd East) vs Seneca Sting, Toronto (10-0-0, 1st East)
Saturday, Oct. 25 - 3 p.m.
Crosstown rivals meet once again in their biggest match-up in years.
The Seneca Sting have won every time they go on the field this season. This includes a pair of post-season wins, 3-1 over the Sheridan Bruins and 4-0 over the Redeemer Royals. Seneca has not lost an OCAA-sanctioned match since Oct. 11, 2023.
Seneca third-year forward and OCAA Scoring Champion Alexis Cordeiro (Brampton) has now scored 21 goals in a dozen matches, counting the regular season.
The path to provincials for the Centennial Colts include a 3-0 win over the Mohawk Mountaineers and 3-1 road victory in overtime against the Niagara Knights.
The Colts scored an OCAA-high 58 goals during the regular season, while allowing a impressive eight goals against in 10 matches. Centennial third-year forward Mylie Decoff (Burlington) was among the OCAA leaders with 16 goals during the regular season.
Seneca defeated Centennial 2-1 earlier this month, rallying from a one-goal deficit with two second-half goals.
The Colts have never won the OCAA championship. The last time they won an OCAA medal was bronze in 2012.
