Seneca College in Toronto, Ont. has been selected to host the 2014 CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship March 5-8, 2014.
"Seneca has previously hosted five national championships and over 30 OCAA provincial championships. We will build on the success of these events and aim to exceed expectations," says Seneca president David Agnew.
As hosts the Seneca Sting women's volleyball team is guaranteed a berth among eight of the nation's top teams. They last qualified for a CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship in 1996.
The Seneca Sting are the most decorated athletic program in the history of the OCAA (Ontario Colleges Athletic Association), having won more than 450 medals since 1967. However, an Ontario team has never claimed the CCAA women's volleyball national title.
The 2013 Viterra CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship will be hosted by Lakeland College in Lloydminster, Alta. March 7-9, 2013.
