MOHAWK WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL RECRUITS
Summer may almost be here, but Mohawk College women's volleyball coach Andrew Nicholson has been extremely busy recruiting new players for his Mountaineers. And there will be plenty of new faces on the squad come fall.

Player Comment: "I chose Mohawk College for several reasons, being: I get a chance to play volleyball at the next level and be coached by and play with exceptional people. Also, being close to home is important to me and this gives my family an opportunity to see me play and come support me. The campus is wonderful and I can see myself enjoying this environment for my college years. I am really looking forward to playing Mohawk Varsity because it gives me the chance to show others how I can improve, how much potential I have as a player, and the coaching staff is phenomenal, very welcoming, friendly and encouraging."
Coaches Comment: "Charlotte is a true hidden gem; I think that she will grow at an exceptional rate with College coaching and with OCAA calibre players around her. Charlotte was a tremendous captain with Cayuga SS so she adds to our character quotient with this recruiting class."

Coaches Comment: "Janelle has played volleyball at an international level and can bring some stability to our roster when the pressure rises. She has a solid background as a setter but we saw the potential for her to bring both a formidable block and a smooth offensive attack to our newly reshaped roster."

Player Comment: "I chose Mohawk because it offered an outstanding Business Administration course and the renovations to the existing campus are impressive! I'm looking forward to playing in the new Athletics Center in the Fall of 2013. Plus, I am excited to play varsity volleyball for a coach that has a clear vision for a successful season."
Coaches Quote: "From the moment I saw Lynsay run the offence for Grand River C.I. during OFSAA, I knew that she had a chance to be exceptional at the OCAA level! Her court vision and command was outstanding and I believe that she will thrive with the bevy of new hitters that we are bringing to Mohawk in the Fall. Her training at the KW Predators shows through and she is definitely the calibre of player that we will continue to add to the Mohawk Varsity program going forward."

"I will be attending Mohawk College for the Recreation and Leisure Program, followed by Event Planning. I chose Mohawk because I have always loved the area! I met the representative for Mohawk at an open house, he was very helpful and set up a meeting for me to take a tour and Meet The Varsity Coach. During that visit things became very clear that this was the coach I wanted and the school I wanted to play for! I can not wait to get my college life started and to play Varsity Volleyball, this has been something I have always wanted from the very first time I played the sport!"
Coaches Quote: "We are very pleased to have Michelle join our Mohawk Varsity squad for the 2012-13 season. She is a very skilled outside hitter that has been flying under the radar for her High School career but we believe she will blossom at the OCAA level.
