BARRIE, Ont. - The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team continues to show they will be a player this year in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA).

The Grizzlies made it a clean sweep Saturday afternoon at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie defeating the Algonquin Thunder 3-0 to improve their record to 2-1 on the season.

Georgian registered 34 kills and outscored the Thunder 16-3 in serving aces which were keys to the team winning sets of 25-13, 25-17 and 25-23.

Natalie Buck posted a team high 18 points (14 kills, four aces) to lead the team while four-year veteran Veronica Harrison had nine of the team's total 16 digs.

Allison Marshall (eight points), Erin McClean (eight points) and Kelsey Buckley (seven points) all were key contributors again for Georgian.

The women's team will be right back at it tomorrow afternoon at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie when they host the La Cite Coyotes at 12 p.m.
