NORTH BAY, Ont. - The Nipissing women's volleyball team made quick work of their cross campus rivals with a dominating 3-0 (25-4, 25-3, 25-13) performance. With the win the Lakers improve to 5-1 on the season while the Panthers drop to (0-6).
It was all Lakers from beginning to end as the match lasted only 48 minutes and was highlighted by some tough serving and efficient attacking.
Victoria Taylor (Ottawa) led the Lakers offence with nine points in two sets while Brittany Ardron had seven also in two sets. Taylor was named the Boston Pizza Player of the Game for her performance.
The Lakers return to the court Saturday against the visiting Mohawk Mountaineers beginning at noon.
