HAMILTON, Ont. - It was no contest in the women's volleyball match as Humber showed their experience in a three set sweep of the youthful Mohawk side, 25-8, 25-19, 25-10.
It was the eighth consecutive victory for the undefeated Hawks, while the Mountaineers fell to 4-4.
Middle Kelly Nyhof, who is a member of Volleyball Canada's National Team, led Humber with six kills, four service aces and three stuff blocks.
For Mohawk, Kristin VanHartingsveldt had three kills and three blocks. Chantal Baker had one kill, two aces and one block, while Charlotte Huitema contributed four kills. On defense, Libero Melanie Patenaude recorded eight digs.
