ETOBICOKE, Ont. - The Fanshawe Falcons women's volleyball team finished 2-1 last week with wins over both the Condors and Mountaineers. Fanshawe sits in second place in the OCAA West Division.
The Falcons won in three straight sets over the Condors last Tuesday (25-9, 27-25, 29-27). The victory extended their record breaking win streak to 13 matches in a row.
Fanshawe went to Humber on Thursday night and took the first set off the CCAA No. 3-ranked Hawks, before dropping the next three sets and losing the match by a final score of 3-1.
Last Saturday, in their final league home game of the year, the Falcons defeated the Mohawk Mountaineers in three straight sets (25-18, 25-19, 25-17). Kaitlyn Kelly scored 22 points in the match for the Falcons, moving her into second place in the OCAA for points per set.
The Falcons are on the road next Saturday, Feb. 8 to face the Redeemer Royals (11-4). Redeemer currently sits right behind the Falcons in the OCAA West Division standings.
