CANADORE 3, LOYALIST 0
BELLEVILLE, Ont. - The Canadore Panthers women's varsity volleyball team won their game against the Loyalist Lancers today in Belleville, Ont.
Set scores were 25-18, 25-15, 25-23. Canadore's top scorer was Katie Maeck with 10 kills.
Coming off a win yesterday afternoon against the Durham Lords, the Panther women were able to push for a second straight win away from home in three straight sets.
The girls have now won seven of their last eight games and are in a great position heading towards playoffs. There was no player of the game, as this win was a total team effort.
Michela Szatanski suffered an injury during today's game that took her out of the line-up. After winning a starting spot on a heavy hitting line, she came out firing, but went down with a knee injury shortly after.
Canadore assistance coach, Paige Shemilt, commented on the game, "It was great to see the B-line in working hard and coming back in the third set. We had to take two early time outs but the girls fought hard back to take it in three."
